In a major update for the 2025 model year, Ford has revamped the Lincoln Navigator, packing a massive 48-inch display that will please both entertainment enthusiasts and those seeking a spa-like retreat.
With this enhancement, Ford aims to rejuvenate the Navigator’s appeal, especially as it faces declining sales in the large SUV category. “The redesigned Navigator transcends traditional automotive roles, offering a unique third space that provides comfort and rejuvenation for our customers,” said Dianne Craig, Lincoln president.
The newly introduced Sanctuary mode is a highlight of the Lincoln Rejuvenate system, aimed at providing a relaxing experience for drivers. This mode automatically activates in parking settings, where the driver’s seat reclines, heats up and provides gentle massage.
The rejuvenating experience is further enhanced by climate control adjustments, the diffusion of soothing scents such as Mystic Forest, Ozonic Blue and Cashmere Purple, and the ambiance of soothing images and sounds, including a waterfall scene. The SUV also includes preloaded content such as a “waterfall meditation” developed in collaboration with the Calm app, with additional themes available for purchase.
Dianne Craig emphasized: “The Navigator is not just our flagship; it is a sanctuary that reflects the pinnacle of Lincoln’s vision for luxury and comfort.”
Building on technology introduced in the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus, Navigator’s expansive interior space further enhances its entertainment and relaxation offerings.
For those who prefer entertainment to relaxation, the SUV’s front screen can be configured to display videos or games while the vehicle is parked, including popular titles like Asphalt Nitro 2, Angry Birds and Beach Buggy Racing 2.
The vehicle maintains its performance credentials with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that delivers 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. It also features BlueCruise for hands-free highway driving.
Ford has announced that the starting price for the 2025 Navigator will be less than $100,000, with more specific pricing details to be released as the spring 2025 launch date approaches. The price range for current models ranges from $83,000 to more than $114,000, with an average selling price above $101,300.
Despite a 21 percent decline in Navigator sales, overall Lincoln sales figures increased 23.4 percent year-over-year.
The redesigned Navigator was revealed at the prestigious Monterey Car Week and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California, demonstrating Ford’s commitment to maintaining the Navigator’s luxury status in the face of changing consumer expectations.
